The Tempest

What could cause a shipwreck?

How much misery and torment on an unknown island, how many endings of old life and how many new beginnings! And what if the shipwreck was just a dream, a magical delusion?

It will be revealed to you by the stage scenery of the direction tandem Lukáš Trpišovský and Martin Kukučka, following their successful study of the production A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The art creation of this pair is characterized by imagination, imagination, movement, musicality and poetry of the word.

The most beautiful later play of the author, in which topics and motifs that interested the Elizabethan playwright all his life appear: great love, intrigue, revenge or forgiveness. But also the subject of illusion, reality and the passage of time.

You will see the magical Storm in the Czech translation by Martin Hilský during the Summer Shakespeare Festival on 31 July and 1 August. Performances in the courtyard of the Bratislava Castle start at exactly 8:30 p.m. and last with a break approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.
