All roads lead to Rome, but we know that the way of geese leads to the 100-year tradition of roasted geese in Slovenský Grob. It has long been the destination of many gourmets, not only from Slovakia but from around the world. Crunchy roasted goose, delicious liver, and famous “lokshe” are prepared according to recipes handed down over the generations. Maintaining this good tradition led us to establishing the Guild of Geese Roasters of Slovenský Grob.
The Guild of Geese Roasters has associated facilities that aim to uphold the quality and good reputation of geese roasting in Slovenský Grob. Each roasted goose represents hard work, as appreciated by the European Commission in 2006 when it chose the upholding of the goose-roasting tradition to be the best project in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises (of 422 projects submitted across the EU). Every satisfied guest represents a challenge for us to continually strive to be even better and further improve our services.
