Maria Theresias Spuren in Bratislava
Maria Theresia war wohl die bedeutendste ungarische Herrscherin, die in Bratislava gekrönt wurde. Wir werden mehrere Orte besuchen, die mit ihrer Krönung in Verbindung stehen, und dabei auch etwas über die Rolle der Musik bei diesem Ereignis erfahren. Besuche der Monarchin in unserer Stadt fanden sowohl offiziell während der Sitzungen des ungarischen Landtages als auch privat statt. Sie kam hierher, um ihre beliebteste Tochter Maria Christina zu besuchen, die hier mit ihrem Ehemann Albert von Sachsen-Teschen residierte. Auch heute noch erinnert das Stadtbild in vielerlei Hinsicht an das goldene Zeitalter unter der beliebten Herrscherin.
