DAAD Days of Architecture and Design

DAAD | The Architecture and Design Days is an annual festival celebrating architecture, design and art

The aim is to promote high-quality and contemporary architecture and design, to introduce architecture, design and the creation of the environment to the professional and lay public in an engaging way through various actions, presentations and interesting events.

The program of the DAAD 2023 festival will be supplemented by DAAF / Days of Architecture and Film – screening of current film documents from the field of architecture and design.

The main events – lectures, presentations, films, discussions, exhibitions and design events with important foreign and Slovak architects and designers.

Accompanying events enrich the main program in an engaging way. These are events such as workshops, exhibitions of architects and designers, exhibition and sale of works by young designers, personification of public space, fashion show, children’s creative workshop, presentation of the young Slovak music scene, presentations of works by students of architecture and design.

Among the guests of the festival will be prominent Slovak architects, historians and critics of architecture Henrieta Moravčíková and Zoja Droppová, as well as architects Martin Kusý and Pavol Paňák, who together stand behind several essential buildings of the present day, as well as precise residential buildings and interiors.

Representatives of the Swedish architectural studio Arrhov Frick will also come to Bratislava, who believe that architecture should be easy to build and easy to maintain. You can also look forward to the architect Jo Taillieu from Ghent, the Italian architects from Baukuh or the Belgian architecture photographer Filip Dujardin, whose participation in the festival opens a new topic – We photograph architecture, where the local scene of architecture photographers will be presented.
