Online Performance of Lab Theatre

As part of the project of Lab Theatre for a foreign audience, which exists irregularly for almost an entire season, the theatre has prepared two productions with English subtitles for the people living in Slovakia but originating from elsewhere.

At the same time, it is the last chance to see this production, given the fact that all the actors are currently in their graduate years.

The Pear is the graduation project of the students of the Department of Puppetry. The author’s project draws inspiration from the fate of five female characters from William Shakespeare’s plays. Five young actresses, using a variety of means of expression, compose an impressive scenic mosaic in which they freely interpret well-known Shakespearian characters such as Juliette, Desdemona, Kate, Ophelia and Lady Macbeth. At the same time, they draw attention to themes related to women and femininity though stage images.
