Quasars Ensemble – Climate Burn-Out

In Slovakia it is only rarely possible to listen to music by composers from Northern Ireland. Maybe the right moment of its realization comes just in the turbulent Brexit time, into which the minority share of inhabitants of the United Kingdom came for better or worse. One of them is also the composer Greg Caffrey, who will be present at the concert.

„All is empty, all is alike, all hath been!“
„Alas, where is there still a sea in which one could drown?“
(Friedrich Nietzsche – Thus Spoke Zarathustra)

In one of her recent pieces the Croatian author working in Vienna Margareta Ferek-Petrić deals with the thought of evanescence – especially in the context of the almost omnipresent factor of time stress, in the light of which more emphatically from everywhere echoes the threat of permanent global climate changes, which can lead our „highly-developed“ society up to economic, moral and ecologic catastrophe.
Are we really burned out, or is there still hope for our survival?
