The last years and months of the life of Franz Schubert were marked by a deep mental trauma from the incurable disease. Schubert tried to overcome his misfortune in personal life through intensive creation of colossal chamber projects. The nonchalant Piano trio in C minor by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy is a piece from the mature creative period. It is interesting especially thanks to the Finale, where at the end Mendelssohn quotes the melody „Herr Gott, dich loben alle wir“. Johannes Brahms in turn, compiled the introductory topic of the Finale in the Piano Sonata No. 3.
