Winter Tyršák
In mid-November, Tyrš Embankment will turn into a pleasant place of Christmas markets, where everyone will find amusement
The popular location opens up again to visitors. In addition to good food and drinks, it will also aim to promote local crafts and design, as well as sustainable shopping. In a place that was associated with sand, refreshment and lounging in the summer season, you will again find a unique pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Traditionally, the Winter Tyršák will offer lovely foods and drinks. There will be a pre-Christmas classic in the form of a scrag-end in a bun, chicken breast in a bun, lokshas, mulled wine or punch. You can comfortably enjoy Christmas classics on the covered and heated terraces. Conveniently and free of charge, you can park your vehicle for two hours in the parking lot next to Tyršák.
However, the winter edition will bring much more. You can look forward to the exhibition of photos with the theme of the Velvet Revolution, producers of folk art products from various parts of Slovakia and a bazaar offering worn clothes as part of sustainable shopping.
The exhibition of photographs, telling a story of freedom, focuses on depicting various areas of life, describing the development of freedom in travel, music and film in the form of a timeline. From craftsmen you can buy wooden, ceramic, wire or felt products that combine tradition and timelessness. And on the bazaars you will enjoy worn women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and accessories.
Tyršák is an ideal place for gatherings of friends and family in the open air, whether as a pleasant stop on joint walks on the Tyrš Embankment or directly on heated terraces. However, it also thinks about the future, which is why waste is thoroughly sorted on the spot, and backed-up glasses and compostable dishes are used.
Winter Tyršák starts on Thursday, November 17. It will be open on weekdays from 3 p.m. to midnight and on weekends from noon to midnight. Come warm up!
