📍 Napoleonic Spa, Piešťany – Trnava Region

About the Exhibition

The third edition of the exhibition within the international project Mucha’s Trail is dedicated to Alfons Mucha, the world-renowned Art Nouveau master. Under the title Rebirth of Slavic Beauty and Harmony, it explores how Mucha used elements of folk art in his works and the symbolic meanings behind them.

Thanks to cooperation with the Balneological Museum of Imrich Winter, the exhibition is enriched with a unique collection of traditional folk costumes from the Piešťany region.

Highlights ✨

  • original works and reproductions inspired by folklore

  • copy of the monumental painting Hail, Blessed Source of Health

  • Mucha’s personal ties to Piešťany, where he often stayed and where his daughter Jaroslava was healed

Did you know? Mucha personally donated the painting Hail, Blessed Source of Health to Ľudovít Winter in 1932. The original still hangs in the Grand Restaurant of Thermia Palace Hotel.
