Ali ibn Rachid: Ružové dieťa (krst albumu) + Samčo, brat dážďoviek
The album launch for Ali ibn Rachid’s Ružové dieťa will take place on April 11 at A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture in Bratislava.
Ružové dieťa is the band’s fourth album; this year, they will celebrate 40 years on the Slovak music scene. The project features six tracks built around bass lines, electronics, and vocals, contrasted with elements of guided improvisation (bass, guitar, drums, and violin). The concert will also feature older songs, such as “Naďa” in its original version with bass guitar (M. Marinčák).
Then there’s Samčo, brother of the earthworms, a unique voice on the local alternative scene—a musician, performer, and tireless experimenter who blends absurdity, satire, lo-fi poetics, and media noise into a distinctive artistic world of his own. His performances balance between concert, performance, and an intelligently twisted commentary on the present, drawing both humor and social criticism from underground aesthetics.
