BRAHMS – DOHNÁNYI – SCHMIDT

The second subscription concert of the 90th concert season of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra will be held in token of the music of two Bratislava-born exceptional musicians Franz Schmidt and Ernst Dohnányi. The concert is dedicated to Prof. Ľudovít Rajter, who was pupil of both mentioned composers in Vienna, resp. in Budapest, and later chief conductor of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra and co-founder and first conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic.

The concert takes place in cooperation with the cycle (Un)Known Music of the Albrechtina association as part of the project (Un)Known Music in the Radio and Television Slovakia 2018, the main partner of which is the Slovak Arts Council.
