Crywank are among the most prominent names in British anti-folk, despite operating completely independently, without a label. Since 2009, they have released eight albums on their own and have tirelessly toured around the world, building a reputation for raw lo-fi recordings and chaotic, genre-defying concerts. Now a trio, they are shifting their sound from outsider folk to more unusual and complex forms, exploring themes of sadness and fragility with their typical dose of humor and sincerity. This concert stop is also special – after their January tour, Crywank is taking a break from touring.
