DAAD Days of Architecture and Design

DAAD | The Architecture and Design Days is an annual festival celebrating architecture, design and art

The aim is to promote high-quality and contemporary architecture and design, to introduce architecture, design and the creation of the environment to the professional and lay public in an engaging way through various actions, presentations and interesting events.

Main events


_(EX) PATRIOTS – is a new theme that we will bring to the festival. It will be presentations and discussions with successful Slovak architects and designers working abroad.

_PRVÁ LIGA – author’s presentations of architects and designers who are actors of the current European and world scene.

_SUPERDESIGNSTUDIO – exhibition space managed by DAAD organizers for the purpose of organizing special architectural and design exhibitions.

_OPENDESIGNSTUDIO – exhibition space managed by DAAD organizers for the purpose of presenting the creation of student works of FAD STU, VŠVU and FUTU.

_DEVELOPMENT – exhibition space managed by DAAD organizers for the purpose of viewing and presenting current development projects.

_YOUNG SLOVAK ARCHITECTS – presentation of the work of the young generation of architects. The aim of this format is to present the young up-and-coming generation of architects working in Slovakia.

_DAAF – A screening of films about architecture and design.

_WE PHOTOGRAPH ARCHITECTURE – its goal is to introduce professionals, amateurs, students and enthusiasts – the lay public, engaged in photography of architecture.

Accompanying events

They enrich the main program in an engaging way. These are events such as workshops, exhibitions of architects and designers, exhibition and sale of works by young designers, personification of public space, fashion show, children’s creative workshop, presentation of the young Slovak music scene, presentations of works by students of architecture and design.
