CE ZA AR × Architecture Day – architecture up close, with those who created it. A unique opportunity to discover these works through the eyes of their creators.

A flat in the city centre with an iconic window, with commentary by the designer, Alan Prekop. The central idea behind the design is to transform a limited space into a fully-fledged home for a young man, despite the original lack of a separate bedroom and kitchen. The architect sought inspiration in Japanese minimalism, which is regarded as a model of the perfect fusion of practical living with a minimalist floor area. A subtle steel structure forms the heart of the main room. This structure divides the interior both horizontally and vertically into several zones. Within an area of just 30 square metres, a fully functional living room, sleeping area and wardrobe have thus been created. The individual zones function independently, yet at the same time form a unified, compact whole, sensitively integrated into the historic interior with its iconic circular window.
