Erich Steininger & Florian Schaumberger at Danubiana
Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum presents an exceptional dual exhibition by Austrian artists Erich Steininger and Florian Schaumberger, creating a fascinating dialogue between printmaking and sculpture.
May 5 – June 28, 2026
Erich Steininger: Layering and Breaking Boundaries showcases two decades of the artist’s work, featuring monumental woodcuts and monotypes. Through layered colours, intricate lines and structural compositions, Steininger explores the transformation of form and the connection between body and landscape, creating abstract visual worlds filled with movement and intensity.

The second part of the exhibition, Florian Schaumberger: Minimalist Heads, presents contemporary bronze sculptures balancing between figuration and architectural abstraction. Works from the Head and Ahead series appear as vertical, guardian-like forms that radiate stillness, concentration and spiritual presence.
Together, the exhibition brings two artistic generations into conversation, offering visitors a striking visual experience where expressive graphic art meets minimalist sculpture.
