Discover Roman Heritage Through Experience
We love lectures, but we love hands-on experiences even more. That’s why we:
-
digitise cultural heritage,
-
develop mobile apps and augmented reality,
-
and organise events that take you back in time to the 4th century.
Although only fragments remain of ancient Roman architecture, our replica vessel Danuvina Alacris brings the past to life.
A Unique Boat Ride on the Danube
🛶 Danuvina Alacris is a replica of a Roman military boat that has been sailing the Danube for three years now — once the northern border of the Roman Empire (Limes Romanus).
The Danube, together with the Gerulata military camp (Rusovce) and Iža near Komárno, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, shared with Austria and Germany.
