Gérard Rancinan a Caroline Gaudriault in Danubiana Gallery

Spirit of Time is a photographic-literary exhibition by internationally renowned duo Gérard Rancinan and Caroline Gaudriault. Through staged photography and written installations, the artists explore timeless human themes such as identity, exile, and power. The works oscillate between theatricality and testimony, raising the question: what does it mean to be alive in a world of constant transformation?

Contemporary history is accelerating at an unprecedented pace. In this exhibition, Gérard Rancinan and Caroline Gaudriault attempt to capture the spirit of our age. Visitors are drawn into a world of staged photographic images and written installations that reflect on universal questions: Who are we? Where are we going? What is the meaning of history? Their works do not simply document reality—they transform it, examine it, and evoke emotion. Spirit of Time invites us to contemplate what it means to be human in the Anthropocene era of urgency and perpetual motion.

Gérard Rancinan is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose staged and socially reflective works are part of major museum collections worldwide.
