Ideme naživo: Do prírody
As summer draws to a close, Ideme naživo is back – offline and, this time, right in the heart of nature.
The event will take place in the beautiful setting of the Prüger-Wallner Garden, where participants will first enjoy a fragrant workshop on making homemade pesto and herbal snacks with Tomáš Kulčár. We’ll learn more about plant-based ingredients and their creative uses in the kitchen, and we’ll be making:
- Genovese pesto – using locally sourced basil and almonds
- Parsley pesto with walnuts
Everyone will take their homemade pesto home with them, and all the ingredients will be prepared on site.
This will be followed by a talk by art historian Katarína Beňová on nature in art and the beginnings of plein air landscape painting. She will discuss how painting directly in nature brought a new perspective on the landscape, its atmosphere, light and everyday reality.
Nature, in this context, meant not only forests and lakes, but also city parks and gardens. How this approach manifested itself in the work of painters in Slovakia will be demonstrated right there in one of these settings.
The event is part of the Ideme Naživo! series – a series of community-based offline events held at interesting locations across Bratislava.
