Komentovaný sprievod výstavou Grey Gold: Dotyk s Annou Varteckou

The first guided tour of an international exhibition raising questions about the position of women artists, led by exhibition co-curator Anna Vartecká.

The international exhibition Grey Gold: Touch seeks to contribute to the discussion on the position of women artists, with the ambition to address the connections between age, gender, and creativity, as well as to highlight the late work of female artists of the post-war generations.

The international exhibition Grey Gold: Touch is a continuation of the original projects Grey Gold: Czech and Slovak Women Artists 65+ (2014) and Grey Gold: Within Reach (2017). The concept of these projects has long been linked by an effort to contribute to the discussion on the position of women artists in the wider Central European region, an ambition to address the connections between age, gender, and creativity, and, last but not least, an effort to highlight the late work of Slovak, Czech, German, and Austrian female artists of the post-war generations. These are generations of female artists who anticipated, shaped, and formed the conditions for the gradual professionalization and emancipation of female artistic creation and helped to integrate it into Czech-Slovak and Central European art history.
