Pavol Breslik: Strauss Songs
The Slovak tenor Pavol Breslik, member of the Opera Zürich ensemble, is a welcome guest in all leading opera houses (lately with Placido Domingo and Irina Lungu in La traviata at the Vienna State Opera) as well as on concert stages. So at the BBC Proms, the Edinburgh Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the Easter Festival Baden-Baden, with the Bavaria Radio Symphony Orchestra or the Boston Symphony Orchestra. In 2017 he sang at the opening ceremony of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, in 2018 at the opening of the Vienna Opera Ball.
For several years he has dedicated himself to German Lieder, particularly the works of Franz Schubert and currently the songs of Richard Strauss. In his Strauss concert in Bratislava he will sing several songs for the first time, mainly the Four Last Songs (Vier letzte Lieder) as world premiere.
