Piesne z Kabinetu: The Ills & Moa Tears

The Ills
The Ills are a Slovak post-rock quartet, known for their strong and sophisticated sound, which combines elements of shoegaze, math-rock and prog-rock. Their music is characterized by dense and noisy soundscapes, refined guitar riffs and captivating bass lines. They are especially characterized by live performances, in which musical mastery and intimate passages are combined with punk-like spontaneity and metal hardness. This time they will play completely unplugged.

Moa Tears
Moa are extinct birds from New Zealand – the largest to ever walk the Earth. The Wroclaw indie-alternative band Moa Tears borrowed its name from them.
The project is led by Mari – a singer and songwriter born in West Virginia – and Adrian, a Polish drummer and composer.
Live, Moa Tears create a hypnotic, cinematic and intimate atmosphere. They combine airy sound with personal lyrics and invite the audience to immerse themselves in the music, which smoothly transitions from quiet, gentle moments to emotional peaks.
They perform as a duo in a minimalist line-up. They combine vocals and guitar with percussion and guitar effects, giving their songs a raw, personal form, while maintaining space and airiness.

Liveurope: the first pan-European initiative to support concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European artists. The Liveurope project is co-financed by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.

The activities of the Nová Cvernovka Cultural Centre were supported from public funds by the Art Support Fund and the Bratislava City Foundation.
