Pulse of Prešporok
Prešporok is a historic name for Bratislava and time when it was as cosmopolitan as ever. Dance performance at the courtyard of the Primate’s Palace will bring these times back.
At the end of the summer, experience an exceptional multimedia site-specific dance performance. The organizers of the international festival of contemporary dance Bratislava in Motion prepare a site-specific performance in the streets of Bratislava every year. This year, they will present a choreography by Yuri Korec called Pulz Prešporka, performed by nine dancers. The purpose of the performance is to draw attention to the multicultural character of Bratislava as a city that grew up on multinational dialogue.
“Our ambition is to create a vibrant, colorful performance that reminds us of the diversity of Bratislava’s communities. They have always been, are and will be an important essence of Bratislava’s metropolitan identity. The men and women of Bratislava, together with the performers, will experience the dynamically changing nature of the public space on Hviezdoslavov námestí. He has several successful full-length dance works to his credit and is a co-author of internationally awarded dance films.
The performance is part of the accompanying program of the Bratislava in Motion festival. The main program of the 28th edition will take place from 5-28 October 2024 and will focus on the presentation of contemporary dance art from Spain.
