Saxophobia Bratislava 2026

**The turn of January and February will traditionally belong to the saxophone event of the year in the capital – the Saxophobia Bratislava festival.***

In addition to master classes, the 10th anniversary edition will feature a competition for young composers and two public concerts dedicated to classical music on saxophones.

Saxophobia Bratislava is already an integral part of not only Bratislava’s but also Slovakia’s musical life. Every year, it brings the saxophone to the audience in a slightly different way – as a fully-fledged instrument of classical and contemporary music. This year, Saxophobia will be a record-breaking event. More than 100 saxophonists from all over Europe will gather in Bratislava to expand their skills under the guidance of top foreign lecturers from France, Germany, and the Netherlands at four-day master classes (January 29 – February 1) at the Academy of Performing Arts to expand their skills under the guidance of top foreign lecturers from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Slovakia. The organizers have also prepared two exceptional public concerts featuring a variety of styles from the Renaissance through the Baroque and Romantic periods to contemporary compositions and Slovak premieres.
