STARMUS – The World’s Largest Science, Music and Other Arts Festival
The prestigious STARMUS Festival is the brainchild of astrophysicist Garik Israelian, PhD, and Queen guitarist Brian May -who also has a PhD in astrophysics.
STARMUS is the WORLD’S LARGEST SCIENCE, MUSIC AND OTHER ARTS FESTIVAL that brings together the brightest minds and most talented artists with a common purpose: to promote the popularization of science through the combination of science & art.
The mission of the festival is to inspire the next generation of explorers and regenerate the spirit of discovery + to engage humanity with the biggest questions of ourtime.
Program
1. STARMUS Exclusive Talks = 4 days of exclusive lectures of the highest level,
– As in previous editions, he festival will bring together a large cast of Nobel Prize winners – such as Michel Mayor, Emmanuelle Charpentier or Kip Thorne-; astronauts who have made history in the space race – such as Charlie Duke or Chris Hadfield- and personalities as recognized by everyone as the great Dr Jane Goodall and the music legend Brian May, also co-founder of the festival.
2. STAR PARTY = Exclusive STARMUS night party celebrating stars and music where attendees will be able to learn to star gaze and discover the magic of the sky while enjoying open-air music performances
3. STEPHEN HAWKING MEDAL AWARD CEREMONY & SONIC UNIVERSE CONCERT =
– STARMUS signature prestigious Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication -a unique tribute to the greatest scientist of the 20-21st century Stephen Hawking– which awards excellence in science communications across four categories: Music & Arts, Science Writing, Films & Entertainment, and Lifetime Achievement.
– Following the ceremony, STARMUS also celebrates the SONIC UNIVERSE CONCERT, exclusive unparalleled concerts with such world renowned artists as The Offspring, Tony Hadley and many more one-off live perfomanced which will be soon announced)
