Spicy Depository: Medzikultúrny iftar – Komunitná večera

The Intercultural Iftar is a social gathering inspired by the Muslim tradition of breaking the fast together during the month of Ramadan.

The event serves as a space for neighbors to come together, engage in intercultural dialogue, and share intangible cultural heritage through a communal dinner accompanied by a supporting program.

Participants will learn about the significance of iftar and its place in daily life during Ramadan and will dine together. The program is complemented by musical performances, creative activities, and community-building activities that foster mutual understanding, the sharing of experiences, and the creation of an inclusive urban environment. The event is open to all residents of Bratislava.

The event is organized in collaboration with the civic association Spoločná cesta, the Municipal Center for People of Foreign Origin LOOM, Mareena, and the Milan Šimečka Foundation.
