The Tribute to Freedom festival returns to Devín Castle for its 17th edition, bringing together music, history, and a powerful message of freedom in one of Slovakia’s most iconic historical settings.
During a single evening, legendary Czech and Slovak bands that have shaped the music scene for decades will share one stage. The festival has become a long-standing tradition, using music to highlight the importance of freedom for both society and individuals while commemorating key moments in the modern history of Slovakia.
The unique atmosphere of Devín Castle, a symbol of freedom and national heritage, adds a special dimension to the event. The festival carries the message that freedom is not only a historical achievement but also a living value that deserves to be remembered, celebrated, and protected.
Visitors can look forward to a performance by HEX, one of Slovakia’s most successful pop-rock bands, known for numerous timeless hits and prestigious awards. The legendary Czech band BUTY, celebrating 40 years on the music scene in 2026, will perform some of its best-known songs, including Mám jednu ruku dlouhou, Jednou ráno, and František. The line-up also features VIDIEK, one of Slovakia’s most beloved bands, which is likewise celebrating four decades of musical success.
