Winery Hopping with Račanská Lokálka

Get on the Račanská local car and let yourself be driven through the vineyards. You don’t visit much, but you will see and taste even more in the vineyards and cellars of small winemakers in Rača. You can board every Friday at four, five and six in the afternoon in front of the German Cultural House on Barónka.

By purchasing a voucher, you get 14 coupons for wine tasting at local winemakers, a practical neck pocket with an engraved glass and an information brochure with a map for easy orientation. The price also includes a local guide who will help you not only with practical advice, but also with interesting information while driving the Račanská local.

You will receive a tasting package with a wristband after proving your voucher (electronic or printed) when you first enter the Račanská local at the ordered time. With the wristband, you can then move anywhere along the route on the local bus for free until 9:00 p.m., which completes the entire circuit every hour.

On the southern slopes of the oldest and most famous wine-growing region in Slovakia, the atmosphere of old and new cellars will breathe upon you, you will be enchanted by the view of endless green vineyards, and especially you will taste the local typical drink of kings.

Račian winemakers will gladly and proudly show you their vineyards. You will spend a pleasant time drinking wine in them and at the same time support those who take care of them with love.

Račanská lokálka will show you the beauty of the vineyards and take you directly to the Račan winemakers, who will gladly pour you their wines. Several tastings await you, you can compare the same varieties growing just a few meters apart and you will be surprised how different they are.

Don’t miss the famous frankfurter, which, according to legend, was adored by Maria Theresa herself. In any case, it was imported to the imperial court for years, and in the parish garden in Rač today you can find the gene pool of the blue frankfurter. The queen of Račian wines is not missing at any of the local bus stops.
