Gandy Gallery
The gallery brings together some thirty artists, mostly from former Soviet countries whose work addresses issues related to identity, memory, the body, migration, and archive work. The gallery fosters ongoing research, discoveries, experimentations and carefully constructed relationships in a tireless and passionate manner.
Nadine Gardy, born in France, is particularly interested in the art of “New Europe” and its development after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Therefore, she has focused on the presentation of artists from former Soviet Union countries since 2005, when she moved to Bratislava. Through her exhibitions, Nadine Gandy particularly interrogates themes related to the human body, identity, migration, and transformation.
In 2012, the French government bestowed Nadine with the title of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
