Roman Games

Enter the Roman Empire. In the past, a Roman military camp was located on the current territory of Rusoviec as part of the northern border of the Roman Empire. Even though the Romans left Rusovce a long time ago, on Saturday, October 12, we will have a glimpse into the life of the Romans for the 27th time in the cultural monument registered in the UNESCO list. The Ancient Gerulata Museum and its surroundings will once again be transformed into a settlement full of soldiers, gladiators, ancient weapons, armor and their favorite foods.

The Roman army belonged to the most historically professional military groups. Advanced and progressive were not only their military formations, but also the entire Roman culture. During the Roman Games, visitors will be able to see their way of life, education, and architecture.

It will be possible to hear about how ordinary Romans could become soldiers or legionnaires, what their equipment contained, how they sailed on the Danube and other interesting facts from experts from the Museum of Ancient Gerulata and the Municipal Office for the Protection of Monuments in Bratislava.

Both young and old can try period games that were used to pass the time already in ancient Rome.
