Yann Tiersen

Yann Tiersen is coming to Bratislava. He will perform on February 27, 2026, at the Majestic Music Club.

Yann Tiersen is a French musician and composer known for his emotional, minimalist compositions combining classical, folk, and electronic music. He became famous for the soundtrack to the film Amélie, but his work is constantly evolving toward experimentation and nature.

In this time of climate crisis, Tiersen is changing the way musicians travel and create—instead of big tours, he sets out alone, often with only his dog or his sailboat Ninnog, where he connects music with the landscape and communities he visits.

His new album Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour combines introspective piano compositions with expressive electronics. The first part reflects inner transformation and the calm of the sea, while the second brings energy, anger, and hope—a call for authenticity, connection, and change in the world.
