Night full of discoveries

Only on this day it will be possible to see interesting exhibitions, author interpretations, creative workshops, animations, tours and other programs in more than 100 locations in Slovakia until late in the evening

Besides showing its current exhibitions, on this Night the museums and galleries prepared very special programmes. Over several hours, visitors will be able to attend special presentations on current exhibitions, workshops for families with children, workshops for adults, musical performances and other fascinating events across Bratislava.

BIBIANA, an international art house for children, offers the Most Beautiful Books of Slovakia and events with the theme of coffee.

The Bratislava City Gallery presents the exhibition and accompanying activities Look, Prešporok! From graphic views to photographic views.

The Nedbalka Gallery will complement its program with a curatorial tour of the exhibitions in the Ukrainian language.

In the UMELKA Gallery, those interested in studying at schools with an artistic focus and everyone who wants to visit the new exhibition Milan Sládek – Mím are welcome.

Kunsthalle Bratislava has prepared activities for the exhibitions A Window: Promise of the Mud Guard and A Hall: Oskar Čepan Award 2022 – Call Me If You Need Me.

The program of the Slovak National Gallery is thematically dominated by the themes of relationships and architecture and reconstruction of the building.

The Slovak Design Center prepared accompanying activities for the exhibition 100 years of design / Slovakia 1918 – 2018.

Organised worldwide, the Night of Museums and Galleries is a European-wide event sponsored by the Council of Europe to present Europe’s cultural heritage to the greatest possible degree. The objective of International Museum Day is to raise awareness of the fact that Museums and Galleries are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among the people.
