STaRZ
The Management of Sports and Leisure Facilities of Bratislava Capital (STaRZ) was established on 1 January 1979 as a city budget organization. With effect from 1 January 2007, STaRZ is a contributory organization.
STaRZ creates conditions for the development of special-interest physical education, sports and recreational activities. It creates conditions for increasing physical and mental endurance and a healthy way of life for residents and visitors to the capital city of Bratislava.
As part of its mission and scope of activities, STaRZ mainly performs the following tasks:
- manages and secures the operation of urban physical education, recreational and sports facilities and structures
- organizes sports and sport-cultural events
- ensures the provision of physical education services in the managed physical education and sports facilities
- ensures the use of physical education, recreational and sports facilities in the form of short-term lease for a sporting activity
