Sunday – Bratislava Coronation Days program

From July 24 to 26, 2026, Bratislava, the former coronation city of Hungary, will be transformed into a living stage of royal history. The historic center of the city will come alive with a unique atmosphere of coronation tradition, stories of monarchs and events that shaped the history of the region.

Sunday is dedicated to families with children, historical crafts, theatre and sword-fighting performances. In addition to the programme at the Main Square, visitors can choose from lectures, workshops and other accompanying events.

Throughout the day, you can discover traditional crafts, a bookbinding workshop, document sealing, a medieval lathe, coin minting, or enjoy a ride on a historical wooden carousel.

24 – 26 July | SNM – Historical Museum, Bratislava Castle

See a faithful replica of the Hungarian Royal Crown and visit the exhibition From the Levant to the Euro, which presents the story of money from coronation medals to the euro.
