Enviromental Education Center and Arboretum
The Environmental Education Center offers variety of courses for children and the public, which will take place in beautiful modern spaces.
The city of Bratislava and the City Forests in Bratislava, have opened a modern Environmental Education Center in the recreational area of Kamzík. It will serve as a base for organizing interesting courses and seminars on the topic of nature conservation for schools and general public.
With the opening of the new Environmental Education Center, the surrounding area has also become accessible – an arboretum with dozens of rare trees where you can enjoy walks and spend time with your loved ones.
“I am pleased that a new area accessible to the general public has been created directly in the exceptionally popular and visited forest park. The arboretum also serves as a small educational trail where various rare trees can be seen, such as cypresses, white firs, deciduous spruces, Douglas firs, and many other tree species. We will continue to develop and enhance the forest park and Kamzík,” said Jakub Mrva, Deputy Mayor of Bratislava for the Environment.
You can reach Kamzík by chairlift from Železná studnička or by public bus number 144. If you feel hungry, you will find plenty of stands in the area and the unique Veža restaurant, which offers a perfect 360° view of Bratislava and its surroundings.
