Explore the metropolis during Bratislava City Days

Truly for everyone, once again Bratislava opens its doors and gives an opportunity to know Slovak capital from close-up

You may enjoy free entries to all exhibitions of the city’s museum, gallery or ZOO as well as themed walking tours. You can visit also many other such Bratislava highlights as the magnificent Devín Castle, remnants of the Roman military camp Gerulata in Rusovce or the unique Old Town Hall free of charge.

The current edition of annual event continues the tradition of this event which not only Bratislava citizens took fancy to. Over the last years, Bratislava City Days events were attended by more than 150 thousand people a year, declaring significance of Bratislava and also huge interest of Bratislava citizens in knowing history of their city inside out.

The Municipality of Bratislava opens its doors to all Bratislavians and visitors from April 22nd to 24th, 2022. A weekend when Bratislava belongs to everyone is full of associated activities commemorating the day when Pressburg, as Bratislava used to be named in the medieval times, was given its city privileges. The Bratislava City Library, Bratislava City Museum and Bratislava City Gallery celebrate Bratislava City Days by making all its expositions accessible to general public.

You can expect free entrance to city museums and attractions, free sightseeing tours, free tours by historical vehicles and many other interesting programmes and events to commemorate unique municipal privilege of electing a mayor of Bratislava.

This year, Bratislava Tourist Board offers the opportunity to walk through the city on both weekend days of the city anniversary. Mostly free guided tours require a registration. The current edition of the celebrations will again offer a lot of interesting, so let’s wander a little.

A guided tour of Devín Castle and its surroundings awaits you during the Bratislava City Days. It will be bilingual in English and Slovak languages. Martina Štensová in Slovak and Daniela Radocha in English will wait for you under the castle at the Gate of Liberty on Saturday, April 23rd at 11 a.m.

Another attractive guided tour is a sightseeing tour of Bratislava city centre in English. Iveta Šimove will pick you up at Primate’s Square on Saturday, April 23rd at 12:30 p.m. to tell you many interesting about Bratislava.

You can also become a guide yourselves during the Bratislava City Days. The fourth weekend in April you can discover the Primate’s Palace free of charge, using audio guides. You can guide yourselves from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both, 23rd and 24th of April.
